I was the technical reviewer, not the editor.  I just had to make sure that the examples ran (which in a great cases they didn&#039;t - I had a lot of fixing to do).

I wrote several critical emails during the review period to the editors at APress about the book, but in the end over my objections they decided to publish it.

The editors at APress promised to do a thorough rewrite during the pre-production phase of writing, but since I haven&#039;t actually received a final copy of the book yet, I can&#039;t comment on whether that happened (it seems like it didn&#039;t from what you write above).
